The Kazakh Research Institute of  Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture has developed a microprocessor control system of management of  the excitation of a micro HPP generator based on an asynchronous machine with a phase rotor, which makes possible to stabilize the frequency and magnitude of the output voltage. In the course of the research, the mathematical model of processes in the generator based on an asynchronous machine with a phase rotor was improved, and a block- diagram of a microprocessor system of the management of generator excitation, a structural and principal diagram of  automatic control of the  excitation circuit was developed. Technical requirements and drawing documentation have been prepared. An experimental model of a micro HPP with a microprocessor control system for generator excitation was fabricated. In addition, a technical and economic feasibility study of the micro HPP performance with an improved generator excitation control system was performed.

Based on the achieved results 16 articles were published, including in foreign publications-7.

The experimental sample passed production tests in Individual Entrepreneur

 "Eileen", located in the Karasai district of the Almaty region.

The project has a practical application and a certain socio-economic effect. The developers was given  a confirmation that the micro-hydroelectric power station

provides energy saving, it is capable of operating in automatic mode, reliable in operation and convenient to maintain. The annual economic effect, according to the calculations of the developers, amounted to almost 430 thousand tenge.
